Coreca is on the outskirts of Amantea and comprises approx. 10km of beautiful beach and crystal-clear sea. In the summers months there are several lidos and beach bars offering a variety of summer activities, including canoe hire and beach volleyball together with loungers, umbrellas and accompanied by selection of great food.

The closest town of Amantea is approx. 5 mins drive away. It is a busy town with all the modern amenities: variety of shops and boutiques, café bars, restaurants/pizzeria, gelatarias, pharmacies, post office etc. this blends well with the charming old historical centre where you can meander through the traditional narrow streets and enjoy the true feel of Calabria, enjoy an ice cream in one of the famous gelatieria of the area and from the kerbside seats overlook the marina town and spectacular views of the sea and coastline.  The marina beach front offers beach bars and lidos and a small Acqua Park, children’s play area and a variety of seasonal activities. It also hosts many festivals and fieras during the year and a daily market selling locally grown fruit and vegetables.
Coreca is also conveniently positioned to explore many other traditional villages and the stunning National Park of La Sila is approx. 1 ½ hour drive away, where you can take advantage of the many year round activities that are on offer, including walking, pony trekking, quad bikes and in the winter months, skiing. Areas of archaeological interest are within easy reach including the museum housing the Bronzes of Riace at Reggio Calabria. Also within easy reach are areas for kite-surfing at Gizzeria and white-water rafting at Scalea.
